Mark Stout personally called & explained how to fix it ourselves as all techs were busy in this cold weather. I heated it up and it drained. Went to try furnace & would not ignite. Mark sent a tech to our house, Mike Lippard. He found out the drain plug was clogged. Blew it out with air & it started right up. “My furnace broke down on a Saturday so I could not get in direct touch with Stout but I did leave a message and a call. I discussed my problem with them and Mike Lippard visited on Monday to see what was wrong. The fan that is mounted on the motor that drives air thru the system, came apart within the housing. Total destruction of the fan.
Mike ordered a new fan which arrived back to Stout on Thursday. Mike brought a helper and arrived in the afternoon. Those two had the fan installed and everything put back together within an hour. Now everything is operating as it should. Good job done by Mike and especially his young associate.
Since I had that motor and same fan replaced earlier this year, Stout did not charge me anything for this repair job.

“Our upstairs heat-pump bit the dust during the heatwave of high-90 degree days in July this Summer so we were in a jam and Stout's response was fantastic. The first technician arrived at our house about 2 hours after we called and quickly found the problem. Chris Owen followed up a few hours later and expertly guided us through understanding our options. After we decided to replace the old system Stout provided a complementary portable AC unit which was an immediate and welcome relief for a few days until the new unit could be scheduled for installation. And the installation crew of Cory, Carson and Wilmer were great! They were friendly, competent, respectful of our home and got the new unit installed, up and running in a day. Only 5 stars given because it isn't possible to give 6!”

“Mike came as a backup for Jeremy. Jeremy had come for the same problem earlier this morning. At about 6 PM I headed upstairs to shower and found the a/c fan running but the temperature was 81 degrees. I called Jeremy. He called Mike. Mike came, accessed the problem, went to the attic which was over 90 degrees, and began working the problem. For over an hour Mike worked the problem in wet clothes from the heat. We hope that the problem is finally resolved. I gave Mike the check for Jeremy’s service and told him I didn’t expect another bill for the same problem in the same day. Both technicians were good representatives of Stout HVAC.”

“Had to call weekend repair number on Saturday, May 13. Thermostat set on 74… 79 inside temp. Said technician would call. Within 15 min. Mike Lippard called. Told him issue; he asked if fan was running; I answered “yes” he said he could probably get it running again abs with be here in 20 minutes. He arrived checked the unit and reported a bug had come between the contacts causing an arc… could clean it off, but it seemed to have caused arc at the contact. Gave cost of just cleaning it off vs replacing the contact. We agreed it would be best to replace the contact. He did it right then… do within an hour of making the call, repairman was here and we were cooling again! Great service!!”

Mike called me to let me know he was on the way to the rental property and once he determined what the problem was he would call me. Mike found the thermostat needed replacement, informed me what the cost would be and I told him to repair the problem. I thanked him and told him to be careful as it had snowed that day. The renters have two children so there was never a question that it had to be fixed ASAP. I have called on Stouts numerous times for my home and the rental for ac and heat.
