“Excellent service from start to finish. We replaced both a 20-year-old AC unit and a 15–18 year-old furnace after the AC finally failed, in July of course, and the entire process was seamless.
There was zero attempt to upsell us on anything we didn’t need. We were concerned the ductwork might need to be replaced as well, but after inspecting it, they told us that while it was older, they saw no reason to replace it. I really appreciated that honesty. In the end, the only change needed was a minor adjustment to accommodate a new air filter we had requested.
The installation technicians were equally impressive. They showed up exactly when scheduled and knocked out the job. Overall, I was very impressed with the entire operation.
As for price, HVAC replacement simply isn’t cheap, but their quote was right in the middle of what I considered reasonable. Bottom line: excellent service, honest recommendations, and a fair price from a local business. Highly recommended.”

I can't say enough good things about our recent experience with Stout Heating and Air Conditioning for the installation of our new Trane XL16i air conditioning and heating system. From start to finish, this team exceeded our expectations.
It started with Anna, their receptionist and logistics coordinator, who was incredibly organized and made scheduling seamless from day one. Bret Graham in sales took the time to walk us through our options and helped us choose the right system for our home without any pressure — just honest, knowledgeable guidance.

“Installation of new system at our home was fine. I have no negative comments to make about the installers. My issue is that the sales rep who sold our unit has been very unresponsive to our calls. After we agreed to replace our HVAC, we agreed to have the system replaced around 12/01/2024. After not having any contact with Stout the week prior to 12/01/2024, I called and spoke to Rep who indicated it would be a couple weeks before install. Next call received was from Rep who indicated that they where unable to get the 17i system and they were going to install the 18 system at the same price quoted and they would be in touch when the install was scheduled. Install was finally scheduled on 12/30/2024 and I made call to Stout about final price on unit before install since it was going to be the 18 rather than the 17i. Rep advised he would get a copy of contract to me. When installers arrived, I again asked the installers about the contact. They indicated they had spoken to the sales rep and he would bring a copy by that day. Near the end of second day of install the sales rep delivered a copy of the sales contract and it was then I was notified that it was it wasn’t the 18 system they installed but rather it was the 17i system. I was disappointed that I wasn’t notified of the specific system to be installed. The system is working fine and the installers did a good job. I rcvd a call from Stout about scheduling a date for the inspector to come and inspect unit installed. We agreed on Thursday, Jan 16th. I inquired about the process to get the Duke Power rebate and she told me she would have the sales rep call me to discuss. As of today, Jan 17, I have not received a call back from the sales rep and after waiting all day on the 16th for the inspector to arrive, we have heard nothing. Very, very disappointed in Stouts customer service service especially after spending nearly $20,000.”

Larry, I apologize for the installation being pushed out father then we planned and for us not keeping you up to date on everything. All of the equipment manufacturers are going thought a transition which has made getting high efficient a lot slower than normal. We were checking on you system daily and then was told that we may not be able to get the system you ordered so they were going to have to substitute to a different unit so we were going that way and then your unit showed up and was going to be a wait for the other. We were able to put in exactly the unit you ordered for you. As far as the inspector did not show up. I fill your frustration, we schedule that thought the Rowan County Inspection Department and set it up for the date the customer ask for and if they can not make it to all of there scheduled appointments that day they push it to the next and do not let us or the customer know. Again, I apologize and hopefully we can provide you with 5-star service.

Lori…..took the initial call..followed up with heads up calls…just a pleasant warm person.
Brett….field rep….did a great job…first with deriving various tweaks to the quote, bringing in Randy with his years of experience to more fully configure the job…visits to and supporting the crew, and supporting the finishing touches that needed fine tuning. He stayed with it until the end and I always felt supported and informed.
Scott was a great lead man, supported by an energetic, polite, competent, and hardworking Logan and Jon.
Holland really worked hard and conscientiously, overcoming multiple obstacles, and with a great knowledge of the electronic details. I knew this as I had studied the schematics myself, so our discussions were spot on.
And Randy, during his quote support visit, his full vision of the solution and directing the traffic for the team remote, the job was executed better than I hoped.
I was especially impressed with the outstanding character of the young bucks, Scott, Logan, Holland, and Jon. It is obvious the Stout management took care to hire its team not just on competence but more importantly on character. I enjoyed interacting with them as they worked, they had fun but worked hard. A fine group of young men that really comport themselves well and reflect admirably upon the company. Thanks to all for a job well done!”
