“Mike was on time, courteous and, communicated well with me. He is very knowledgeable about heat pumps, etc. Told me just where we are at in the life span of out unit.
Looks like it would be wise to replace our 18 yr. old unit, since it leaks refrigerant. He answered my questions about the type of refrigerant, and other considerations when choosing a new heat pump.
We have had Stout for years, and plan to have them install our new unit, and continue to do our semiannual maintenance & check ups.

“Drew arrived, he patiently listened as I told him what the unit was doing. It was making a whooshing sound as the unit ignited. He ran a few tests, then removed the safety cover to clean the gas orifices. Apparently the passages were not completely open and allowed too much gas to build up before ignition. Whooshing sound. After testing in started fine. Cycled through fine. Turned up the thermostat inside the house. Cycled out fine. He assured us that there were safety stops that would shut the unit down before anything bad would happen. At this point all is good. Drew is a very nice representative for Stout. He did a good job.”
